FREE ACT Test Prep and Study Group

Dear Parents and Guardians:

I hope the school year is off to a great start! The fall SRALP ACT prep program coordinated by Faye Nichols and her team will be offered September-October. If your child is interested in developing test taking strategies and reviewing ACT academic content, please attend. The purpose for having the prep program September-October is to prepare students to take the ACT scheduled for October 27. Below, please view dates closely and notice the location. A few meetings will be on Samford’s campus on Saturdaymornings; however, most of the program sessions will be provided on Tuesday evenings at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. The Nichols ACT prep team and Samford Professors look forward to seeing you soon! Please let me know if you have questions.

Fall Schedule:

Pretest Saturday September 22, 8AM (Samford University)

Instruction days: (5 days) location: Shades Mt. Baptist Church: 4:15 Instructional warm-ups; 4:30-6:45 PM (Instruction/Sessions) Vestavia Hills Police security. Being on time is very important. Snacks will be provided.

Post test Saturday, Oct. 20 8:30AM-12:30 PM (Samford University)

              Tuesday, Oct. 23 ( wrap up) 

If your child can commit to participating this fall, please complete the information below and return via email to tbluiett@samford.edu  by Thursday, September 20 to secure a seat.

  • Any identified or suspected learning challenges or exceptionalities, such as ADHD, concussion recovery, reading/speech problems from elementary school until now, processing etc.

  • Any gifted learning recognized in school?
