Bards and Brews at the Birmingham Public Library

Bards & Brews, the Birmingham Public Library’s popular spoken word poetry/craft beer event, is doing its annual tribute to William Shakespeare in April in honor of the original bard’s birthday. The free open mic poetry performances will take place this Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Central Library’s Central East Grand Reading Room, 2100 Park Place in downtown Birmingham.

Entertainment will be provided by Taco Truck Tuesday Improv troupe at 6:30 p.m. and poetry will begin to flow at 7 p.m.  Longtime Bards & Brews poet Lee Green is a member of the Taco Truck Tuesday Improv troupe. As usual, Brian “Voice Porter” Hawkins will emcee the event.
